Community Pharmacy Services (CPS) was launched in 1979 by Dave Heckman, R.Ph.

Wisconsin has beautiful rivers, lots of corn, soybeans, cows, Packers and tasty cheese.

About David M. Heckman, R.Ph.

Dave Heckman, R.Ph.Dave was born in Battle Creek, Michigan several years prior to the launch of sputnik. He spent his summers putting two scoops of raisins in every package of Kellogg's Raisin Bran while obtaining a B.S. in pharmacy from Ferris State College (now promoted to Ferris State University). He attended programs in management theory and technique from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Crosby and Associates Total Quality Management.

Dave's professional experiences include over 20 years practice with independent and chain community pharmacies and 7 years with a teaching hospital as a pharmacokineticist and trauma care specialist. He has held positions as Director, Member Services for a national pharmacy consulting business, Medical Information Specialist for an international pharmaceutical manufacturer, Director of Professional Affairs for an independently owned pharmacy chain, and Coordinator of Membership Services for a state pharmacist association. He has also served as a preceptor, adjunct instructor of clinical pharmacy, Ferris State College, and clinical instructor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin. All this was made possible through the miracle of cloning.

Dave is a member of Wisconsin's Interim Pharmaceutical Stockpile committee and previously served with Michigan's Region 5 Strategic National Stockpile committee.

He is a consultant, publisher, editor, author, speaker and cartoonist.
